At Halo we love getting out there showcasing the latest styles. We’ve had fun over the years on the following projects:

Halo recently took part in the Alfaparf 'Haute Couture' Awards at the Silversprings Moran Hotel Conference Centre in Cork.
Denise from the salon and Rachel, a student in the Academy, were both representing Halo. The grand final will take place on June 27th. Watch this space!

Caren, Justin & Zowie Training With London
Based Salon Mahogany
Caren, Justin and Zowie have been training with Mahogany, London for last few months, attending week training sessions every two months. We are looking forward to seeing what they'll be bringing back to the salon floor. Mahogany is revered by the hairdressing industry, trade and consumer press as worldwide leaders and innovators within hair fashion and beauty and the guys are delighted to be a part of it.

Professional Colour Day & Upstyling Course

Directors Pauline & Caren will travel to your salon to demonstrate workshops in advanced colour techniques and up-styling.

The philosophy at ‘The Academy’ is to make hair education an essential tool for modern hairdressing.

Our aim is to provide quality education in a relaxed environment where you get to work on live models (provided by us of course!) and create the latest trends in commercial hairdressing.

The Academy hosts courses for Salon Based Stylists or Colour Technicians who want to learn new techniques and push their work to the next level. Halo also hosts courses for trainees specialising in foundation cut and colour. We can also tailor courses to suit the individual or customised to suit a group.

Academy Education

FOUNDATION:

Classic cutting suitable for re-freshers, newly qualified stylists or for those who teach trainees.

FREESTYLE:

Cut/Colour - Suitable for stylists and technicians who want to take their work to the next level, comprising advanced cut and colour techniques working on the latest and future trends.

BESPOKE:

A course designed by you provided by us, you decide what you want, whether it’s in your salon, or our academy. Cut, colour or both, demonstrations or hands on workshops, just like a pick n’ mix, whatever you want let us know and we will do the rest.

(Minimum Students: 6, Maximum: 12)

Halo Hair Models Required

Halo is looking for hair models for the Halo Hair Academy. All our students are fully supervised by senior staff members in the Halo Academy. If you let us do whatever we want, the whole service is FREE, but if you want to have more control you can get a cut from €20 and colour costs vary. If you would like to be a hair model please contact us on 061 446525.

Halo Hairdressers

All hairdressers at Halo go through a three month hair training programme even if they have worked at another salon. You can be assured that all staff have the Halo touch!

All senior members regularly impart the knowledge they have learned through the Wella style council and Trend Vision Awards to the trainees in the Academy, so everyone is learning about the newest trends.

Halo are now members of the Alfpaparf Global Art Team and look forward to bringing even more skills to the salon.

Finishing Courses for Hairdressers

Halo are pleased to announce Finishing Courses for Hairdressers who are on the verge of completing their training.

The course consists of 2 days training per week on finishing colour, cuts and blowdrys to give trainees confidence to go on to the salon floor.
