Irelands Hottest Hairdressing Talent @ Halo

Much talked about in national and local media including Image magazine, Social & personal Magazine and on TV3’s Ireland AM, the dynamic trio behind Halo, Pauline Hyland, Caren O’Connell and Justin Hyland are taking the phenomenal success in their stride.

PAULINE WHELAN:

Pauline is Technical Director for Halo and heads up the Colour Department in-salon.

Pauline has been working in the industry for 13 years; she spent 5 years with Toni & Guy in Dublin before being asked to be Head Colour Technician in the franchises salon in Limerick.

Shortly afterwards Pauline opened Halo with her business partners Caren & Justin. Pauline, a former member of the Wella Elite Style Council is now part of Alfapar's Global Art Team and an accomplished make-up artist in her own right. Today Pauline divides her time between delivering training courses and demonstrations around the country, assisting in launching new colours and seeing her clients in the salon.

Despite her hectic schedule Pauline always ensures that time and care is taken with each of her clients so that she fully understands their vision and can best advise them on how to achieve it. Pauline has represented Halo at The Wella Trend Vision Awards. Halo were one of the 10 salons to make it to the finals. Pauline is looking forward to showcasing her talent as part of the Alfaparf team.

CAREN O'CONNELL:

Salon Director Caren leads the salons focus on session styling, photographic work, fashion events and platform work.

As a former member of the Wella Elite Style Council she has presented live at the Wella Road Show and taught at the Wella Studio Dublin.

Caren has also represented Halo at the Wella Trend Vision Awards. Caren is the Salon's wedding specialist and oversees theat-home bridal service for wedding mornings. In her role as Salon Director, Caren is also involved in staff development and motivation. Caren also teaches at the Halo Academy.  Caren is now a full memeber of the Alfaparf Global Art Team.

JUSTIN HYLAND:

Justin is the third and final Director of the Salon.  Justin brought the media spotlight to the salon when he took Silver in the prestigious Wella Trend Vision Awards in Winter 2004. 

Following that success Justin was the only hairdresser in Munster to be invited to represent Ireland at the French International Hairdressing Championships in Paris which he proudly did.  

Justin is an experienced platform artist, presenting the latest techniques and collections from the catwalk. His reputation for being at the coal face of international styling trends led to a request to work backstage at the recent Limerick School of Art & Design Annual Fashion Show.

Justin heads up the Halo Academy, which is fast becoming a Mecca for hairdressers all over Ireland, offering training for assistants, stylists, colour technicians, bringing in guest stylists from the UK and working with the Halo Art Team, ably backed by his partners Pauline & Caren.

Justin has worked with many celebrity clients including Dolores O’Riordan of the Cranberries.
